iNTRODUCTION:

As industry and academic research communities build towards new standards for commercial information security, we are coming together to organise the first Asia Pacific Trusted Infrastructure Summer School as a platform to foster educational excellence in these new state of the art technology developments. 

The purpose of this event is to bring together world renowned scientists to provide lectures on the latest developments in Trusted Infrastructure such as TCG technologies (www.trustedcomputinggroup.org), which are likely to become key standards for next-generation IT infrastructure around the world. This event will be held in Zhuhai on the South China coast, during the week of August 20^th 2007 and we invite both students and industry experts to attend. There will be financial sponsorship to a selected number of students from the Asia Pacific region. 

This event provides support to the development of the Trusted Infrastructure research community in the Asia Pacific region and will build on previous events that have been taking place worldwide over the last few years, including: A parallel  workshop on Trusted Computing at the ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security (ACM-CCS) (Nov 2006), The first ACM Workshop on Scalable Trusted Computing at George Mason University (Nov 2006), The 2nd Workshop on Advances in Trusted Computing -WATC '06, in Tokyo (Nov 2006), and in particular, the first European Summer School on Trusted Infrastructure Technologies organised by HP and Oxford University (Sept 2006).  

For this new event, we expect to cover the basics of TCG technology as well as lectures on trusted infrastructure developments as they relate to virtualization technology, grid computing, and networking architectures.
